Understanding the different types of Termite control that are available:

Liquid Application with Bait and Monitoring Systems: This service will include a liquid treatment at infestation sites around your home, along with installation of monitoring systems. If the monitoring system detects termites, bait  will be installed, which will lead to effective control of the termite colony. NOTE: Green Bug will not use Bait Stations as a sole means of control, as this option is very expensive for consumers and does not provide the level of protection that Green Bug requires for our clients. If you are getting a quote from a competitor please be sure to read their terms of service and warranty coverage in their “fine print”.

Liquid Application with Repellent or Non-repellent:  These treatments can be used inside or outside and can be injected directly into an infested area.  Repellents make the area unappealing to termites which will direct them away from the home. Non-repellents are products the termites will not avoid, and in turn, will share them with the colony during their feeding and grooming. This process, called the transfer effect, will effectively control the colony. There are also odorless, and immediately effective, wood treatments that offer protection against further infestations.

Physical Barriers: These are barriers usually installed during construction, or post construction, that protect your home from infestation. This is one of the most helpful things a homeowner can do to prevent termites. Green Bug uses a product called TERM particle barrier for this option as it is chemical free and completely natural.
